Health & Care Career Taster

The Health and Care Career Taster is a one-week programme that helps jobseekers gain insight into roles across health, care, and wellbeing through workshops, skills training, and networking. It supports participants in improving job readiness, understanding sector values, and exploring local entry routes or training opportunities.

Key Details: 

The 1-week Taster will cover:
  • Career-building workshop
  • Skills training in communication and teamwork
  • CV and interview preparation support
  • NetworkingHealth and wellbeing support
  • Guest speakers from the health and care sector

 

Objectives:
By the end of the Taster, you will:

  • Have a basic understanding of different roles in health, care and wellbeing
  • Understandthevalues,responsibilitiesandcultureofworkinginhealthandcare
  • Improve job readiness
  • Explore potential entry routes/training posts locally
